THE BEGINNING

So, here we are - back at the start of this journey. TMI warning regarding sex and pregnancy symptoms!!



January 2010 - Exactly 1 year into my realtionship with DP. Things progressing nicely. Have talked about the future etc lately and what we both want from this. We both want kids.. Maybe in a 1-2 years ... tell him I have a 'by the time in 30 deadline looming....' This month have decided not to continue with Depo Shots, as my body can take a year or so to get back into a normal cycle.

February 2010 - June 2010 - Start getting some random bleeding. Download Iperiod app on iphone to chart, in the hope of avoiding fertile times to DTD .. ok, in hindsight not the best form of contraception around ... but i have an aversion to latex.

May 23rd 2010 - last day of AF. all charted all good. have been having some random cycles tho, 72 days, 41 days, 38 days.. etc. so no regularity as yet but that is to be expected after depo - remembering how much AF sucks after being without for the past 2 years!

June 5 2010 - Went to the drive in.. cant believe DP actually sat through Sex and the City II ! hes so sweet.. second movie was Wog Boy II and really lame so DTD and miss most of the movie.

June 6 2010 - Lots of fertile looking EWCM... hmmm...ew! Checked Iperiod just to be sure we werent in fertile time. all good. still have a week to go! but cant stop thinking that maybe....? check the settings in Iperiod and notice one that says 'Ignore cycles longer than xx days..' type in 50 and see what happens. OMG were right in the middle of fertile time!!

June 7 2010 - Madly research 'early signs of pregnancy' find cool forum site called 'bubhub' to look for info on. So, Apparently there is just no way to tell you are pregnant the day after!! Have a fair idea of the signs to look for now. Tell DP i am suddenly interested in watching his BBC 'Human Body' documentaries. we watch 'the struggle of being born' and realise how slim the chances of conception really are. (i havent told him anything yet..)

June 10 2010 - Pregnancy test - Negative (ok, ok so i am impatient!!)

June 13 2010 - feel a little crampy pain .. omg is this implantation?!

June 14 2010 - Pregnancy test - Negative - realise i still have about a week or so before AF is due so should chill out.

June 14 2010 (about 20 mins later) - Pregnancy test - First response early detection. Negative

June 14 2010 (about 15 mins later) WTF is that tiny almost invisible line??! Google 'evaporation lines'. hmm nope, dont think thats it... Call DP. ask him hypothetically... how would he react... Hes a little bit .. WTF..

June 15 2010 - Head to the GP. He doesnt want me to show him my line.. lol. Does his own test. Negaitve Tells me not to worry, im not pregnant. but he will send me for blood tests if i am really worried. I decline.

June 16 2010- Tiny bit of 'old' blood. Pregnancy test - First response early detection. Faint line. Google early pregnancy line images. get annoyed. Go out and buy DIGITAL test. decide not to waste it and wait until day AF is due to arrive to use it .

June 16 2010 (a few hours later) go visit DP. cave in a try out the digital test. Pregnant. hmm. give test to DP. we both are
